Harold wants to give his mother the nicest birthday present ever. But what would she like? Harold uses his purple crayon to help him find a present, and the search takes him far away from home. On his trip, Harold creates a forest of trees so large that he has to fly over it with the help of a friendly bird. He looks for the perfect birthday present in some very surprising places.
