Product Description
Only Dr. Seuss could pen such a zany ode to birthdays, guaranteed to make your little one feel "I am lucky to be what I am. That's a great thing to be!" In this classic tale, every child is visited by the Birthday Bird on their special day in the land of Katroo. After exchanging the Secret Katroo Birthday Hi-Sign and Shake with the Birthday Bird (this illustration alone is reason to buy the book), the little boy embarks on "his day of days." Wonderfully outlandish color illustrations create a fantastical world that kids will adore.

5 out of 5 stars Really Great Book :)   June 4, 2010
K. Sundquist
We just got this book for our 3 year olds birthday. My husband read it to him as soon as he got up so it would start off his birthday (since he wouldn't get his present until after my husband got home from work). BIG hit! He loved it and still loves it :)It is a longer Dr Seuss book, be warned! It isn't as quick a read as say, cat in the hat.

5 out of 5 stars Great!   March 23, 2010

Dr. Suess books are always a joy... this is geared to the older child and adult. A great book with a great message. I bought this for my son's first birthday. I had everyone at the party sign it like a guest book ~ a nice keepsake for him! I'll be able to read it to him when he's a little older. Right now, he wants to tear the pages! Love this book!

5 out of 5 stars A Silly Seuss Birthday Classic   November 27, 2009
Kristie Finnan (Author of Mommy's High Heel Shoes) (www.mommyshoes.com)
Another silly tongue twisting Dr. Seuss Classic. I got this book in high school from one of my best friends and now enjoy reading it to my 3 kids...always a story time full of giggles! This is one to be enjoyed by kids of all ages.

5 out of 5 stars lots of fun   June 7, 2009
Robert W. Smith (Virginia, USA)
Dr. Suess is one of my favorite authors. This book is one of my favorites for the same reason: it's lots of fun to read, it gives me and the kids lots of fantastical things to talk about and we bond together. It is delightful. The graphics are silly, greatly detailed, and show the story nicely. The story is lots of fun, for kids and adults. Dr. Suess is notorious for tongue twisters, so, parents, beware, don't read too fast! It's inexpensive and highly recommended for kids who anticipate birthdays. I give it an A-.
