Product Description Fox in Socks
Amazon.com Review "This Fox is a tricky fox. He'll try to get your tongue in trouble." Dr. Seuss gives fair warning to anyone brave enough to read along with the Fox in Socks, who likes to play tongue-twisting games with his friend Mr. Knox. "Here's an easy game to play. Here's an easy thing to say.... New socks. Two socks. Whose socks? Sue's socks." But Mr. Fox Socks isn't about to let Knox off so easy. Soon Goo-Goose is choosing to chew chewy gluey blue goo, while tweetle beetles battle with paddles in a puddle (in case you were wondering, that's called a "tweetle beetle puddle paddle battle"). Mr. Knox gets exasperated: "I can't blab such blibber blubber! My tongue isn't made of rubber." But he catches on to the game before it's all through. One of Seuss's best, this must-read-aloud classic is guaranteed to get many giggles out of readers young and old. (Ages 4 to 8) --Paul Hughes

Best childrens' book you'll ever read... FUN! May 6, 2010 Nathan J. Stalker (Eatontown, NJ) If you've never read this book, read it out loud to your kids, and if you can get through it, you were reading too slow... Too much fun to read!
Oh, my brothers! Oh, my sisters! May 5, 2010 Marc Schmatjen (Rocklin, CA United States) This is Seuss at his best! All kids enjoy this book, mostly because of Dr. Seuss' infectious rhyming and made-up words, but partially because it's fun to hear your mom or dad stumble and trip over silly tongue-twisters. My boys cheer if I can make it all the way through the freezy cheese trees. I bring this book with me when I do story times, because it's a consistent crowd favorite. Nothing like a good Tweetle Beetle Battle to get kids excited about books.

Good Dr Seus January 27, 2010 mancity I've always been a big fan of Dr Seus, so I was very happy to be able to find one of his books at such a reasonable price.
A Very Fun Easy Reader August 28, 2009 Shanna A. Gonzalez (Gaithersburg, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a clever book full of tongue twisters, which can be enjoyed as an easy reader or as a read-aloud. The fox plies his friend Mr. Knox with tongue twisters (each accompanied by a funny illustrated scene) and Knox refuses to try them, but in the end Mr. Knox bests the fox at his own game. Children will enjoy playing with these silly words and silly scenes, all of which are defined by the easy reader's limited vocabulary. It's lots of fun, and this kind of wordplay may help open the mind to an appreciation of true poetry.
Awesome book August 24, 2009 M. Levit (Boston area) I love this book, my [...] year old does too. It's fun for me to read and see if I can go without any mistakes. I'm hoping once he starts learning to read that he will enjoy reading it himself.
