That behatted and bow-tied cat from Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat is back, and, not surprisingly, is up to all sorts of mischief. This time, Sally and her brother are stuck shoveling snow: "This was no time for play./ This was no time for fun./ This was no time for games./ There was work to be done." But--you guessed it--the laughing Hat Cat has other ideas, as he lets himself in to eat cake in their tub. He leaves behind "a big long pink cat ring," which he then handily cleans with "MOTHER'S WHITE DRESS!" The dress then loses its pink stain to the wall, then Dad's shoes, then the rug in the hall, until finally the Cat must call in some assistance: from inside his hat comes Little Cat A, then Littler Cats B, C, D, E, and so on, nested like dolls in ever tinier hats. With this pack of felines, Sally and her brother may get rid of those stains, but they'll likely never be rid of that rascally cat. As should be expected from the good doctor, The Cat in the Hat Comes Back provides an excellent reader (and alphabet primer) for those just learning, not to mention ample laughs for everyone else.  Impossible to find in stores! Great buy July 8, 2010

Another fantastic narration by Dr. Seuss! Kinds love it, the perfect reading for bed-time. The car is back to its antics and has several new companions. Nice pace, very well narrated. We weren't able to find this anywhere in local stores, fortunately found it here. Lovely book, definitely recommended for your little ones!

I love all the Dr. Seuss books and this one was difficult to find and not very well known, but had it as a child. If you loved the original "The Cat in the Hat", you will enjoy this one just as much!!!

The mischief continues as the ever troublesome cat in the hat returns. Although not as good as the first book, "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back," is another classic Dr. Seuss book told with clever rhymes, and aided with beautiful colorful illustrations. Once again, Cat in the Hat, drops in on the unsuspecting kids and makes a mess. The chuckles received while watching the cat make his messes, and the rather unorthodox ways that he and his helpers clean the mess up are the main storylines of the book.
My child loves this book, just like the first one.

I have been reading this book to my children for over 10 years. And my children have learned to read by reading this book. Now, my 12 year old loves to read it to her brothers. A book that is a wonderful addition to the family time.

My daughter loves the read along and the cat in the hat book. I am enjoy snuggling next to hear and reading the book as well and not have to be the one reading every time.
